adult psychotherapy & Counselling
Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to address the problems you want to change and expand your awareness to understand why you are in your position, how you got there, and where you actually want to be. Many people can feel nervous about coming to therapy, especially for the first time. Revealing your deep emotional world can be vulnerable, particularly if you feel confused, afraid or overwhelmed. I have undergone my own intensive personal psychotherapy for seven years, so I know how courageous and challenging it feels to sit in the client’s seat. Throughout therapy, I bring this awareness into our sessions, alongside my warmth, acceptance, and empathy.
In my approach to therapy, I draw on a range of different techniques and methods to help people create long-lasting and positive change. These methods include, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Gestalt Psychotherapy, and Positive Psychotherapy. I also have an interest in Buddhism and can relate to different spiritual aspects of life. I work with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, PTSD, and relationship difficulties.
Through working with a range of therapeutic techniques, I bring myself into each session in an authentic, compassionate, and gentle way to work with a variety of different issues at your pace. I also offer animal-assisted therapy sessions with Bailey and Milo. To find out more or to book an appointment, please send me a message through our contact page.
